First and foremost, I am the proud mom of two ridiculously adorable kids and am blessed to say that I am married to my best friend, Ken.  I am a decent cook, a total bookworm, and a self-diagnosed chocoholic.  I am a teacher (although I’m now clocking in my third year of leave to be at home with my kids)…and the odds are good that I have a camera in my hands or in tow right now.

My former students can tell you that I’ve always been obsessed with photography.  On their first day of fifth grade, I snapped their picture and hung them proudly on my classroom walls.  Thirty children.  Thirty smiles.  Thirty lives that had become intertwined with mine.

I even created a picture time line in our room each year, documenting their growth, discoveries, and of course, ridiculously fun moments as a class.  On the last day of school, I gave these pictures back to my students and couldn’t help but notice the transformations that had taken place.  Braces were no longer present, a trendy hairstyle had replaced a ponytail, confidence existed when it hadn’t before.

My desire to capture these incredible moments in my students’ lives transformed into documenting those of my own children when I became a mother.  I am so thankful to have the memories of my daughter’s first teeth, her wobbly first steps, and my son’s belly-laughing captured forever in photographs.  Documenting the wonder and joy of infancy and childhood infuses incredible meaning and spirit into my life.

My portrait sessions are enhanced by my playful and energetic spirit as I capture precious memories of your children.  Teeny-tiny toes. Chubby baby legs.  Candy-stained lips. Crooked teeth.  Electric blue nail polish, barefoot in the grass, laughing so hard that there’s no sound kind-of memories.
