I Heart Faces Challenge #38 : Smirk

This week’s I Heart Faces theme is “Smirk”, and I think this image of my daughter is very fitting, don’t you think?  I’m really trying to read her mind here, trying to imagine what’s going on in that precious head of hers.  I’m imagining, ”Seriously Mom?!  The camera again!?”.  Or perhaps she’s scheming here…plotting her next adventure with her little brother, a new hiding place in the house, or just a new and amusing way to exhaust Mom.

Whatever it may be, she’s ridiculously adorable.

I Heart Faces Challenge, Week 35: Photojournalism

This week’s challenge on iheartfaces.com is themed “photojournalism”, and interestingly, participants are allowed to submit a collage of images for the first time.

So enter the “Dos Amigos” into this week’s challenge, complete with their guitars, harmonicas, mini-keyboards and horns.  I captured these musicians at an informal wedding reception held outdoors at the bride and groom’s horse ranch.  These gentlemen kept the crowd dancing and laughing all evening with covers from Johnny Cash, The Champs, and Alabama, just to name a few.  They were such a blast to listen to and photograph…it’s my hope that the energy from the night is captured in these images.
