Holiday Mini-Session Give-Away! | Frederick, Maryland Family Photographer

‘Tis the Season for a very special contest! Today I’m announcing the start of my holiday mini-session give-away! All you need to do to enter is send me one picture that was captured in your family during the holidays. Send in photos that are sentimental, funny, silly, sweet…perhaps a trip to visit Santa that went terribly wrong, a special holiday tradition, a fun trip to the Christmas tree farm, a family picture from the holidays that you cherish.

Here are the important details about photo submissions:
1) Submissions may not be professional photographs
2) Only one photo submission per family
3) Please e-mail your photo to me at crissie@crissietraugottphoto.com by 5:00pm on Tuesday, August 31st.
This gives you time to dig up some oldies but goodies, if you want!
4) Please include one sentence about the memory captured in your photo.
5) Your e-mail must also include language that allows me to publicly post the image on my Facebook fan site.

How to Win:
All submitted images will be posted in a gallery on my Facebook fan site. Encourage your friends and family to “like” my site and leave a comment under your submission photo. For every three comments received under your photo submission, you will be entered into a drawing to win the portrait session package!

Portrait Session includes:
1) A 1-hour portrait mini-session
2) 10-12 proofed images in a private, online gallery
3) 3 digital files of your choice with exclusive rights to print
4) 25 custom-designed holiday cards
5) …and absolutely no obligation or pressure to purchase anything beyond that!

Contest Notes:
1) On Thursday, September 2nd, I will upload your photo submissions to my Facebook page. Tell all your friends and family to vote for the photo you submitted by leaving a comment underneath your photo. You must “like” (aka “become a fan”) my page to leave a comment!

2) For every three comments your photo submission receives, your name will be entered into the drawing to win the holiday mini-session package.

3) The contest ends at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9th. A formal announcement (and pictures from the actual drawing!) of the winning family will be made on Friday, September 10th.

The Important Details:
1) Only one vote per person
2) Portrait session must take place at a specified time on either Sunday, October 24th or Saturday, October 30th, 2010 in downtown Frederick, Maryland
3) Session includes up to 5 people; there is a fee for additional family members
4) Portrait Session package is non-transferable
5) Previous contest winners are not eligible to participate in this contest
6) If you have already scheduled your family for a holiday mini-session and paid your deposit, you may still enter this contest. If you win, your deposit will be used as a $50 print credit.

Happy picture hunting! I’m excited to see your entries!

Erin, Walkersville High Senior :: Frederick, Maryland Senior Portraits

It’s been another wonderful weekend, complete with another beautiful senior to photograph! Erin will be graduating from Walkersville High School next month, on her way to the University of Maryland at the start of 2011. She hails from a family of Maryland Terps and musicians, recently completing her final year as a percussionist in the award-winning Walkersville Marching Band. I first met Erin at The Little Gym; she’s a standout teacher with a contagious smile. My kids absolutely adore her– we are thrilled that we’ll be able to see her smiling face there until the end of the year! Erin, thank you so much for inviting me to document this incredibly special chapter of your life!

Sweet Anticipation! :: Frederick, Maryland Maternity Photographer

I may be a little biased, but this is one of the sweetest baby bumps I’ve ever seen!  Over Easter weekend I was able to visit my family in New York, including my brother-in-law Steve and sister-in-law Molly.  They are expecting a baby boy in early June.  That’s my precious nephew all comfy-cozy in Molly’s belly!  I’m pretty (ridiculously, actually) excited for his arrival in June because it will add the all-important title of “Aunt” to my name.  Having a newborn in our family this summer will be such a special time–I’m so excited to snuggle him and spoil him rotten!  Lots of love to Molly and Steve for letting me capture this very special time in your lives.

Product Showcase–Mini Accordion Albums :: Frederick, MD Children’s Photographer

How sweet are these?! Accordian Albums are a perfect add-on to portrait packages as a gift for yourself and two other special people in your life. I’ll custom design this album for you with your favorite session images; we can create a calendar or simply leave it as a mini-album for your handbag. These make terrific gifts for grandparents, too! Accordian Albums can be purchased a la carte in a set of three; the design and color options are endless!

Nine Days Old :: Frederick, Maryland Newborn Photographer

Precious Eliana has made her debut! Isn’t she just precious?! Thick brown hair, gorgeous eyes, and pouty lips make this photographer melt! Ellie made it known that she wanted to be an active participant in the photo shoot, so she stayed awake for a nice chunk of time. She was captivated by the windows, my camera lens, her sweet parents…she is super curious and very alert! Lots of love to the D. family for inviting me to capture this incredibly special time in your lives. :)

Almost Two! :: Frederick, Maryland Child Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting sweet Gianna yesterday afternoon, on a cool but sunny day in downtown Frederick.  I brought Gianna balloons to celebrate and she was thrilled to parade the streets with them during our session!  As you can imagine, we had a lot of onlookers because she is so ridiculously adorable.  Even the South Market Street firefighters invited her to sit on a fire truck and gifted her a special fire hat.   Gianna talked lovingly about her brother, Dora the Explorer, and her favorite songs…and even had  enough energy at the end of our session to sport some colorful fluorescent sunglasses and a bright pink tutu.

Lots of love to the K. family for inviting me to document this special chapter of Gianna’s life.  Happy Bithday, precious girl!

Hello, Sunshine! :: Frederick, Maryland Portrait Photographer

I captured this image in downtown Frederick last weekend.  I absolutely love living in this town, as we’re guaranteed to see the beauty of each and every season.  This winter, however, I think I’ve seen enough of the white stuff!  I’m happy that the sunshine is slowly starting to melt this snow, which only means spring is on its way!

It’s not too early to begin booking spring portrait sessions for your children, family, or 2011 seniors!  I have two sessions remaining in March and a few in April.  Contact me today to secure your session!

One Amazing Mom! :: Frederick, Maryland Maternity Photographer

I’m inspired by so many women in my life, however, one in particular has touched me so profoundly as a mother. Meet Stacy, Mom to Isaac and soon-to-arrive Eliana, due just a few weeks away on March 4th. Those of you who follow my blog have been introduced to Stacy and her husband Spencer during my “Giving is Awesome” family portrait contest give-away. Stacy graciously nominated a friend for the give-away and this friend was selected as one of the recipients of the complimentary family portrait session.

Stacy’s first born, Isaac Timothy, was diagnosed with a series of congenital birth defects during Stacy’s pregnancy, and consequently, his prognosis for survival after birth was not good. Stacy began a blog, He Will Carry Me, after Isaac’s diagnoses to journal about her pregnancy, her emotions, her prayers for Isaac, and her unwavering faith in God. Isaac Timothy Delise was born on October 7, 2008, and Stacy and Spencer were blessed with sixteen precious minutes with him before he went to be with Jesus. The Delisles continue to honor Isaac’s meaningful life through Stacy’s words, an annual memorial golf tournament in his name, and the upcoming Isaac Timothy Delisle Foundation.

I invite (and encourage!) you to subscribe to her blog, as she continues to eloquently write about her emotions as she prepares for the birth of her second child, Eliana. Stacy courageously and beautifully details her journey of grief and joy, and I know you’ll be every bit as inspired by her as I am.

Much love to Stacy and Spencer in the coming weeks as they prepare to welcome Eliana into this world. Stacy, I’m so happy the snow stopped so we could get out and take pictures of your beautiful bump!

Two of a Kind! :: Frederick, Maryland Newborn Photographer

What better way to ring in the new year but with two precious new lives?! Meet Nathan and Scarlett, the sweetest pair! I couldn’t get over how teeny-tiny they were; both were in the 4-pound range at birth. Tons of sleeping, lots of snuggling, and a little bit of sibling behavior already! Only one month old and there was already some kicking and jabbing going on.

Lots of love to the F. family for inviting me to capture these images for you! This new year is sure to be filled with lots of love and sweet memories for you.
